·        Thermal printer – use as fax receiver , thermocromic paper used , used in ATM ,

·        Daisy wheel  - 10-50 ppm , printer head made of plastic , letter quality printer , speed is usually 25-50 cps ,

·        Dot matrix printer – also called line-at-a-time printers, 9-24 pin connector , bidirectional printer , mainly  used in carbon copy , speed more than 1000 cpm , mono printer , speed ranges between 100 and 550 cps ,
